MLK Week at Madonna University




From January 15 through January 18, Madonna students spent Martin Luther King, Jr., week participating int the following service projects:

1. Writing postcards to legislators about current issues related to peace and social justice (17 participated)

2. Diversity mosaic (195 participated).

3. S.O.A.P. (20 participated).

4. Angela Hospice (7 participated)

5. Marywood (9 participated).

6. Montessori (8 participated).

7. St. Mary's Child Care (3 participated).

"This is the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.," said Service Learning Director Djennin Casab. "At Madonna, we focus not just on what students will do for a living, but also on the people they're becoming. We hope they'll become citizens who care about their communities."
