Many of us believe in an end goal when we should believe in a continuum. Life does not end at us but continues. Live life as if you want to be remembered for a billion years and continue no matter the struggle.

    Those are words to live by, Jackie. It's so easy to lose sight of what's right in front of us because we're too focused on a far-away goal.

Young Emu-shu was out in the forest searching for his wolf pack. He had been separated when the farmers had fired on them for killing a sheep. Game for the wolves was diminishing as the farms increased in the area. The wolves had decided to risk going for the sheep. They had to eat, too, and the farmers kept chopping down the trees year after year. As Emu-shu trudged through the freshly fallen snow, he smelled a human nearby. Fear gripped him! I enjoy campfires, especially when my friends and I tell spooky stories. One night, my friends and I were gathered around the campfire, and it was my turn to share a scary story. I quickly remembered a story Grandma once shared with me. I thought to myself that if this story had scared the wits out of me, it would also scare my friends. However, my scary story was not only a horror story, but there was a romantic twist to it, almost like Romeo and Juliet (love vs. paranormal). I began the story by sharing that these spirits watched over a girl named Sarah. They were called “legion.” What I mean by “legion” is that they came by the thousands. Some of them were there to watch her every doing and another part were there to destroy her. Dove, a good friend of Sarah’s since high school, sensed she was in trouble.
